General terms and conditions

The Versailles Events company (hereafter called “Versailles Events”) is a Société par actions simplifiée with capital of 99 905,55 €uros with headquarters at 8, rue de la Chancellerie – 78000 Versailles, registered in the Versailles Trade and Companies Register under number 501 305 932. Versailles Events proposes the implementation of cultural activities and animations, organization of shows, events, conferences, publishing, publications, brochures, guide, sites, internet, production of audiovisual programs.

Article 1. Fields of application

The present general conditions of sale concern all the services offered by Versailles Events and its potential partners. Any order or reservation made entails the acceptance of these general conditions by the Customer.

Article 2. Payment terms

Payment for the service is made either :
– by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Eurocard, American Express),
– by bank check endorsable in France,
– by bank transfer to the Versailles Events account (specify the name of the Client on the transfer),
– in cash (euros only).
A deposit of 50% of the total amount is requested at the time of booking by the Customer. The Customer will have paid the full amount due to Versailles Events no later than the day of the service.

Article 3. Cancellation charges

For an order cancellation by the Customer, the latter will have to pay a cancellation charge representing 50% of the price of the service as compensation for the costs incurred for it.

Article 4. Modification and cancellation of order

By modification, we mean a change of date for the same service. Any other case will be considered a cancellation.

a) Unavailability, modification or cancellation of the order due to Versailles Events.
Particular care is taken to keep up to date availability by Versailles Events or its partners. However, in the event of exceptional unavailability of a product despite the confirmation of the reservation made by Versailles Events, the Customer will be informed as soon as possible and can choose between :

• find with the help of Versailles Events another date of availability for the same animation,
• find with the help of Versailles Events another price product equivalent to the initially selected offer,
• A failure to choose one of these solutions, the order will be canceled and the deposit will be given back to the Customer.

b) Unavailability of the booking due to the Customer.
Any service interrupted, abbreviated or not consumed by the Customer for any reason whatsoever, especially in case of no show, or late submission to the service provider or any other place of appointment set at the time of the order, it will be billed in its entirety.

c) Modification of the offer by the Customer
In case of modification of the date of the service, the new date of execution of the service provision can not be fixed beyond 3 months following the date of execution defined in the initial order. Any request for modification received less than 15 days before the scheduled date of the service will result in the billing of the service in its entirety.

d) Cancellation by the Customer
Any request for cancellation and refund of sums advanced must be sent to Versailles Events in writing (paper / fax / mail).

The repayment terms depend on certain criteria detailed below :
– if the cancellation request reaches Versailles Events 15 days before the scheduled date of the service, Versailles Events will retain the eventual deposit paid. In the absence of a deposit, the Customer will have to pay the cancellation fee.
– if the cancellation request reaches Versailles Events 7 working days before the scheduled date of the service, Versailles Events will invoice the service in its entirety as well as a cancellation fee.

In no case, lthe tickets castles reserved for the order for the services can not be the object of a refund.

e) Modification or cancellation of the reservation for reasons unrelated to Versailles Events or the Client.
In case Versailles Events or the service provider can not honor the ordered offer, due to extreme weather conditions for example (showers, storm, frost, snow), or strike of the public establishment of the Palace of Versailles, Versailles Events will inform the Customer as soon as possible and will offer him the choice of :

• find with the help of Versailles Events another date of availability for the same animation,
• find with the help of Versailles Events another price product equivalent to the initially selected offer.

For want of chose one of these alternative solutions, the order will be canceled and the deposit paid can not be returned to the Customer. The Customer is informed that in the case of services provided in the enclosure of the Trianon and Versailles estate, it can be closed for security reasons, particularly in the event of a gale or storm warning.

Article 5. Execution of the service and compliance with the order

Versailles Events undertakes to honor the Customer’s order as best as it can : the service will be optimal and conform to this same order. Versailles Events guarantees the professionalism of the chosen service providers and the quality of their services. Any service not mentioned in the quote will be subject to additional billing. For any additional services, Versailles Events undertakes to do its utmost to satisfy the Customer’s requests. The Customer can not in any case claim the default of Versailles Events in the performance of these additional services to justify the reimbursement of sums paid in this respect, nor of all the deposits a fortiori.

Article 6. Specificity of SEGWAY self-balancing vehicles

As part of its activities, Versailles Events offers SEGWAY self-balancing vehicles with a guide.

6.1- Use of the SEGWAY

The Customer will make of the SEGWAY a use strictly in accordance with its destination and will be responsible for any damage, except in case of force majeure. If the Customer notices an anomaly / malfunction of the SEGWAY before taking possession he must immediately inform Versailles Events who will make a change if necessary. No later claims will be accepted.

6.2- Security rules

The Customer must move at the speed of the step and give priority to pedestrians ; cross the streets on zebra crossing and respect signage ; the Customer must drive in the street in single file, leaving a sufficient safety distance between the SEGWAY self-balancing vehicles, the Customer can not transport a passenger on the SEGWAY.

6.3- Counter-argument

The Customer must have a minimum weight of 45 kg and more than 12 years. Pregnant women can not use the SEGWAY self-balancing vehicles. Consumption of alcohol or drugs is incompatible with the practice of SEGWAY. The Customer unable to drive SEGWAY safely must abandon service will have to give up the service. No refund will be granted. Versailles Events reserves the right to refuse the participation of a Customer with inability to circulate safely Segway.

6.4- Recommendations

The Customer must wear a protective helmet which will be lent to him by Versailles Events. For his comfort, the Customer must wear closed shoes, heels are strongly discouraged.

Article 7. Customer Liability and Insurance

The Customer or the persons designated by the Customer to participate in the animation ordered will be informed of the safety instructions or use of the equipment made available (SEGWAY self-balancing vehicles, e-bikes, various accessories, …). Failure to follow these instructions could result in bodily and / or material incidents. The responsibility of Versailles Events, in this case, can not be engaged ; Versailles Events or its service provider reserves the right to charge the Customer the cost of repairing or replacing damaged equipment, within the limit of a deductible fixed at 500 € HT (five hundred euros excluding taxes). The Customer is personally responsible for any infraction of the Highway Code. He is responsible for the personal injury that he or his minor children cause to third parties and to themselves when using the equipment made available. In case of theft of the material made available, the responsible Customer will have to reimburse a lump sum for the replacement of the material and fixed at the amount of 5 000 €. The Customer declares that he has taken out a valid “head of the family” liability insurance policy in force on the day of the service.

Article 8 : Complaints

Except in case of force majeure and without prejudging any possible judicial remedy, any complaint must be made at the latest within 15 days, from the date of the eventual harm, by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt to the following address : Versailles Events – 8, rue de la Chancellerie – 78000 Versailles – FRANCE, accompanied by supporting documents.

Article 9. Applicable right

The General Conditions are subject to French law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation and / or execution is subject to arbitration by the Court of Versailles.

Article 10. Protection of personal data

In accordance with the Data Protection Act, the user has a right of opposition, of access to rectify or delete data concerning him; this right can be exercised by sending an e-mail to devis@versaillesevents.fr or by post addressed to Versailles Events – 8 rue de la Chancellerie – 78000 Versailles.

10.1 Data collected

The VersaillesEvents site may create cookies in your browser to improve your visit.

Personal information is collected on the VersaillesEvents website through forms, to make a reservation or to contact Versailles Events. These informations collected is as follows:
– via the booking form: name, first name, e-mail, company name, street number and name, postal code, city, country, telephone. This data is collected for billing and internal booking tracking.
– via the contact form: name, e-mail, if the contact is an individual or a professional, subject of the request, message. This data is collected to establish a correspondence with the user and Versailles Events.

When browsing the site, some information is collected (IP address, operating system, browser, time and day of connection, visited pages). This information makes it possible to perform statistics, track site traffic and improve service. She are not communicated to third parties.

Data is stored temporarily, up to six years for billing data.
